Smokey and Spicy rubbed Hanger Steak with Cool and Tangy Gorgonzola Cream Sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4  Pound(s) Hanger Steak (or any type of your choosing)
  • 1
  • 3/4  Cup(s) Smokey Rub
  • 2
  • 3  Table Spoon(s) Neutral Oil (for searing meat)
  • 3
  •  As Needed Cool Gorgonzola Sauce

Directions

    1. Cut the hanger steak into 6 even portions
    2. Rub each portion thoroughly with spice rub
    3. Sear the hot oil until dark brown
    4. Finish in the oven until meat reaches desired temperature
    5. Serve with Gorgonzola Sauce

    Cool Gorgonzola Sauce

    Ingredients

  • 8 Ounce(s) Weight Gorgonzola Cheese
  • 1/3 Cup(s) Buttermilk
  • 1/3 Cup(s) Heavy Cream
  • ⅓ Tea Spoon(s) Black pepper
  • To Taste Chipotle Tobasco sauce
  • 1 Table Spoon(s) Lemon Juice, fresh
  • 1 Tea Spoon(s) Sugar
  • Directions

    1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth
    2. Taste and adjust your seasonings, place in refrigerator and let set
