An Armenian favorite! Wheat germ, Parsley salad called Tabouli makes for a great easy summer salad. Bring it to a picnic, add a grilled chicken breast on the side to make it a lunch or light dinner. Add to the dinner table as an optional salad..or just a quick pick me up in between meals. What ever the reason, its a great guilt free salad you can have almost any time!


  • 1 1/2  Cup(s) #1 Wheat Germ
  • 1
  • 2 1/2  Cup(s) Boiling Water
  • 2
  • 2  Cup(s) Parsley, finely chopped
  • 3
  • 2  Table Spoon(s) Garlic, minced
  • 4
  • 1/3  Cup(s) Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed
  • 5
  • 1/3  Cup(s) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 6
  • 1/2  Cup(s) Cucumber, chopped (optional)
  • 7
  •  To Taste Salt & Pepper
  • 8
  • 8  Each Romaine Leaves, washed

    1. In a bowl, add boiling hot water, then wheat germ
    2. Make sure wheat germ is fully underwater. Cover and set aside for 5 minutes
    3. In a bowl combine parsley, cucumber, & garlic
    4. Drain any excess water and add wheat germ, mix in oil, lemon and season with salt and pepper
    5. Stuff into a Romaine shell and enjoy!
