Description

Tomato confit consists of canned tomatoes slow cooked in oil with fresh herbs and garlic. Perfect for antipasto or to top on your favorite chicken, fish or pasta recipe.


Ingredients

  • 8  Ounce(s) Weight Tomatoes, canned, peeled and drained
  • 1
  • 4  Each Basil Leaves, torn
  • 2
  • 4  Each Garlic Cloves, crushed
  • 3
  • 3  Each Thyme Sprigs
  • 4
  • 1  Pinch Dried Rosemary, Dried Sage, Sea Salt
  • 5
  • 6  Fluid ounce(s) Olive Oil
  • 6

Directions

    1. Place whole tomatoes in sauce pan
    2. Add thyme basil garlic sage rosemary sea salt mix and olive oil
    3. Slow cook on low heat up to 3 hours
    4. Discard thyme sprigs
    5. Serve on top of pasta chicken or fish
